We believe God has called us to love others as Jesus has loved us. We try to make all aspects of our church life reflect the light of this unconditional and eternal love.

We teach others about this love through the stories of Jesus in the Bible. We try to live out this love in various forms of service to our community. In these things, we believe the love of Christ becomes flesh in people's lives, bringing them hope.

When people are moved by Christ's love to give their lives to him in faith, we welcome them as part of our spiritual family. We baptize them. Baptism is a symbolic washing with water in which a person is called by Christ's love and empowered to show that love to others. Then we welcome that person to the Lord's Supper. This is a symbolic meal in which we as a church family refocus ourselves on Christ's love.

Since Christ's love is the most powerful force there is, we encourage each other to be sustained by it through the ups and the downs of life. And when this life is over, we believe God's love will carry us through death into a new and better life.

In these and other ways we live as a family born of, and sustained by, God's love in Christ. It gives us hope and empowers us to share our hope with others.
